Many clients don’t know that we offer event design services on top of our normal floral design. We still focus our efforts on floral centric clients but add another service that truly pulls everything together.

We have found that clients have a hard time pulling their look together, from invitations, to room layout we take care of all the details that make it cohesive. Floral designers are always the ones that create the finishing touch be we found that our clients were asking us for a little bit more. We heard their needs and over the last 3 years we have been dedicating our selves to meeting those needs.

Our event design clients are ones that have a budget over $10,000 in florals and are looking to complete their look with our guidance. We currently source all our items through partners that we’ve created a close relationship with. From soft seating rentals, to custom hanging installations we believe that having this all under one companies supervision creates a cohesive elevated event, that we are best known for.

Here is one of the more recent clients that we helped with her event design. Meredith was such an easy client that wanted a modern, clean event with high impact. We met a couple times and each time she came with a vision that aligned perfectly with the path we created.

After our fist meeting, we sent over a comprehensive design board that allowed us both to use as a road map. If there were items she wanted to source herself she knew where to go back to for inspiration. This board developed through time as we both added and shifted where we wanted to be. As the vision became more refined the board is edited to make everything cohesive.

We allow our clients to be as involved or as hands off as they desire. We understand when family friends need to create something and have your event more personalized. But we also understand our busier clients that don’t have time or desire to be involved. We love it all and can make magic happen from every angle.

father of the bride

Morgan & Holman were another easy couple, and those are to be celebrated! Truth be told, we never met them until the day before the wedding. The whole wedding was planner with her sister, mother, father and event planner Alyssa Meeks. It was a magical combination of people who loved her and knew her so well that she never needed to involved. To work with such a kind, loving group of people was a highlight of 2019.

The father drew up the floor plans, and worked closely with the tent company to create a space that fit perfectly in their back yard. It was the most seamless extension of their gorgeous home and we couldn’t have felt more fortunate to be the ones that they entrusted.

To design in someones home demands more attention to detail and I am so proud to say, that is what we are known for. Making sure that we are respectful of every space and taking care of their property as if it was ours. Because let’s be real, it’s super intrusive to have all these strangers in your home. We have a responsibility to make sure that they are so comfortable, that they would like us back.

The bride wanted something classic and timeless. She wanted lots of greenery and touches of blush colors to add dimension. We chose a selection of seasonal flowers including roses, garden roses, spray roses, ranunculus, lisianthus and many other seasonal blooms that helped us fill out the arrangements.

When designing the space it was important to do a walk through so that we could see the space and understand how the guests would be walking through the space. As all guests entered they would walk through the front door. And we were so excited to hear that the family was on board with making this a spot that would shine. Focal points where guests feel welcome are so important.

sometimes we don't meet the bride

Can you have that much trust for your mom, event planner and floral/event designer to not meet with them to plan your wedding? I am not 100% sure if I fall into this category. I can give trust, but this bride gave more than her fare share, and I was left so impressed. From our end of things, it truly makes up step up to the plate as you know she was always setting up for success. Leaving the professionals to do what they love and what they do best.

Who could ask for more?

They got married in The Forrest Club, an old Houston club that has gone through some refreshing updates. Their outdoor space is so under utilized for a ceremony that is was nice to try this out for a change.

pink and yellow: soft summer blend

One of my all time favorite color combinations for a Spring/Summer event is this light blush and buttery tones. It allows you to bring color into a space with out dominating it with an overwhelming bright color palette. This is soothing and can be used for a variety of different events.

Bridal shower, birthday, 40th celebration the options are endless with these color tones. We added some fun textures with a large variety of flowers and with a touch of skeleton leafs that truly made it pop. We used garden roses, ranunculus, alstroemeria, viburnum, spray roses, and anthuriums.

We called in our good friend Kelly Durham to photograph it and here it is, this gorgeous arrangement in all it’s beauty.

rice university wedding

The images speak for themselves, the couple wanted an easy, clean, yet thoughtful wedding. The details came together to create such a unique timeless event. With concrete vessels and acrylic table numbers the clean lines fit so perfectly in their venue.

Did you know Rive University has an event and wedding venue with their very own chapel? You guys have to check it out! It is one of the event industry’s hidden gems and one of my all time favorite spots. As Rice University as your backdrop you can’t go wrong.

The chapel holds less than 100 people and creates a super intimate vibe that allows the couple to fully focus on themselves and the importance of the day. Roughly a block away guests can proceed to the reception with no fuss. The Cohen house is just a skip and a jump away and invites guests in with a gorgeous view of their gardens.

With large windows and room for roughly 200 the space is perfect for the low key couple. Enough room for a small dance floor and lighting that comes through those windows that people travel all around the world to find, this venue is a hidden gem that we love.

We were so excited when this bride wanted to explore a punch of yellow in her color palette as it is not a frequently requested color palette. But we LOVE it! Soft blushes with a buttery yellow create such a gorgeous garden style that we are very well known for. We hope you love this wedding as much as we did.
