the corinthian: modern luxe greens

This Corinthian wedding was one for the books. From the understated luxurious elegance of the bride and groom to their fun easy going personality, we would gladly do their wedding over again and again. The brides love of cleans lines and gave us a lot to be creative with.

Michelle and Soo had recently moved to Atlanta to pursue a budding real estate career, but their heart was still in Houston. Most of their family lived here and when they found The Corinthian they new they minds were set on getting married back home.

We met them once and we knew they were the perfect match. Their love for timeless beauty and classic elements and their vision for elevated simplicity was right up our alley. We headed on the design for this event making sure that every rental piece matched their aesthetic. We worked with our local favorites HTX Rentals to create this modern, crisp look.

The tulip tables, acrylic chairs, velvet linens and amazing acrylic head table truly made the room look amazing. We added the floral touches that were mostly greens to accomplish a garden style that was seamless to the overall modern aesthetic. We also wanted to show how these two looks truly look amazing and timeless and believe we accomplished it.

We worked with Kelsey of Spell Events, a local event planner, to create this indoor modern garden wedding and could not be more thrilled with how everything came together.

centennial garden wedding: the oasis in the city

centennial garden wedding: the oasis in the city

Do you know of this gorgeous venue? It is one of our favorites.

This oasis in the city is one of our all time favorite spaces. It has the versatility of a clean space without too much fuss, all in the middle of an urban garden. It has the best of both worlds and allows for our creativity to get to work. With a neutral color palette the space also allows the client to bring in whatever color their heart desires.

We worked with Jennifer Laura Designs, a local event planner, who played a crucial part in putting all the pieces together. Hope you love this one as much as we did as we got to introduce some fun elements that we think turned out perfectly.

CHANGE UP THE LINENS

Just by adding two colors to this table scape it made such difference. Sometimes we aren’t sure what direction to go with our linen choices, but as you can see this simple blue monogram napkin adds a classic touch to this minimalistic design. Adding in a touch of blue to the arrangement was the finishing touch in this table scape.

This is personally one of our favorite classic china patterns. It is a perfect fit for every home or interior. This colorful pattern represents the joy, quality and style. Whether the interior is made in mid-century, industrial, modern or shabby chic style, the tobacco leaf pattern fits it all. Tobacco Leaf, one of the most prized of Chinese Export patterns, was developed circa 1780 and it is still a staple today.

This Mottahedeh print in versatile in many ways. There is such an array of colors to pull from. We chose the navy linen from the darkest blue in the print. The berry napkin from the beautiful tabacco flower in the center and finished it off with touches of gold. Changing each detail of your design when pairing with the Mottahehedeh print is so easy you can’t really go wrong. However you you choose to design your tablescape using the Tabacco Leaf print, you will surely wow your clients or guest with the amount of options there are available.

Our all white flower arrangement was inspired by the ability to take a timeless design and pair it with a modern and monochromatic look. While the pink flowers are seen in a more traditional glass compote that allows the timeless theme to be carried throughout. Because of our love for this print we had fun shooting these two looks in our studio.

BE BOLD WITH COLOR

Pulling colors from your plate pattern allows for a wide range of options to choose from. This all pink arrangement makes for an entirely different look compared to an all white flower arrangement. Don’t be afraid of color when it comes to making decisions with your china.

southern table scape series: blue and white china

After receiving china, whether it be passed down from a family member or gifted from your wedding registry - we tend to continually set the table the same way over and over again. It’s easy, you already have the design memorized and everything needed. However in this Southern Table Scape Series we want to show you ways to simply change a few minor details for a completely different look.

be inspired by your china pieces

Use your china pieces as the inspiration for your details. This plate’s navy color is repeated in the candles and the blue touches in the floral arrangements. We pulled from the white of the blue and white and layered it with the linen and charger. Don’t over think it, repeat colors makes it easy, timeless and beautiful.

change up the linens

Whether it be in the table linens or the napkins, changing the color and texture of those details can make an impactful difference. For the look bellow, we went for a monochromatic route with the china and linens. Sometimes we are afraid to add a bold linen, but as you can see this blue on blue is so fun and different and truly highlights all the shades of blue in the china.

be bold with color

You can never go wrong with taper candles. Whether it be a more casual place setting or special occasion taper candles add another level of detail to your table setting that can really pull out fun details in your china. This is an easy color detail to continuously change.

update the flowers

And our absolute favorite, getting creative with your flower color options. This is the easiest way to drastically change your table scape, from season to season or occasion. Your flower color choices can change the entire aesthetic.

Committing to another linen, napkin, or charger might not be in the immediate list of to-do’s. Instead, order some flowers for the special dinner in a different color palette that you are used to and watch it quickly transforms a space.
